We all have pieces of fabric we’ve saved for “something.”
This workshop is about finally using them.

Fabric collage is a forgiving, flexible medium that allows you to work intuitively or from a clear idea. Through layering, piecing, and slow stitch, you’ll build a textile surface that evolves as you work.

We’ll explore:
• Working with collected and irregular fabric pieces

 • Building composition through placement and layering

• Simple piecing techniques to hold elements in place

• Slow stitch as a way to connect, define, and build texture

 • Moving between planned design and intuitive making

 • Letting the work develop rather than forcing an outcome

This workshop builds on basic embroidery skills.
Completion of the Stitch Book Workshop is recommended.
