ABOUT LEE SOLSTORY

I grew up a curious, passionate, and sensitive girl in the shadow of the patriarchy. Before I even reached my teens, I had already lived through rape, abuse, and many other traumas. Those early wounds left me often dysregulated, moving through life with high highs and low lows, always seeking external validation, and often feeling like an observer in my own story.

And yet, life was also rich with adventure and accomplishment. I graduated from nursing school at 21, sailed halfway around the world, traveled widely, and raised a child. I pursued and achieved many of my goals — but a part of me always felt hijacked, disconnected from my true self.

It wasn’t until I encountered myself honestly, as an alcoholic, that I understood: I had been living in survivor mode for decades of accomplishments. I could not fully inhabit the life I built, because I was still carrying unhealed fragments within.

Through the love of mentors, the healing of art, the wisdom of nature, the support of community, and a deep desire to grow, I found my way back to myself.

Today, I embrace life fully — not just as a survivor, but as someone who thrives. Of course, there are still days when I stumble back into old patterns of hurt. But I keep showing up, one day at a time.

I now mentor women as we journey together from victim, to survivor, to thriver:

  • As victims, we are severed from ourselves, adapting patterns that once kept us safe. Leaving victimhood doesn’t mean forgetting or forgiving what happened — it means realizing that staying there holds us back from living fully.
  • As survivors, we achieve, adapt, and cope, but often feel disconnected from ourselves and repeat old patterns.
  • As thrivers, we step into a new way of being — self-loving, connected to our soul, and responsive to life around us. We claim our power to create our lives with consciousness and care.

If this journey speaks to you, you’re not alone. Join us in the studio, where creativity becomes a path back to your soul. Together, we’ll create, share, and take the next steps toward thriving.

Who looks outside, dreams; who looks inside, awakes.”
